Katie Carlson

Katie’s journey started in Kansas City, where she spent most of her early years. After a short adventure in Sterling, CO, she made her way back to Kansas City to finish up her studies at Kansas State University. There, she earned her bachelor’s in business administration, with a focus on Long Term Care Administration, and a minor in Leadership Studies.

During her college days, Katie wore many hats – slinging coffee as a barista, delivering excellent customer service as a server, hosting activities in life enrichment, and providing care as a CNA. Her experience in hospitality keeps her keenly focused on the resident experience.

Post-graduation, Katie moved to Oklahoma, where she embarked upon the world of nursing home administration. She led teams and served residents in both rural and urban communities. She’s all about making sure our seniors feel heard and cared for, with a special focus on mental health and culture change.

Outside of work, Katie’s a big fan of nature, travel, and diving deep into history. Plus, she’s got two adorable rescue pups who are always up for an adventure. You might even see them at the community!

At Saint Paul, Katie’s all about keeping things real – she’s big on fairness, ethics, and making sure everyone’s treated right.
