Short-Term Rehabilitation

What an Average Day Looks Like

Short-term rehabilitation guests at Parkside Rehabilitation Center at Saint Paul are actively engaged with their Therapists and Nursing Services every day. Our ultimate goal is to help you return home as quickly as possible. We set specific milestones for every guest so your days will be filled with activities.

A Typical Day at Parkside

  • You will be awakened at your preferred time. Morning care will be assisted by a Certified Nursing Assistant. You can enjoy breakfast delivered to your room or in our sunny restaurant-style dining room.
  • A therapist will meet you in your room to escort you to the therapy studio to begin your therapy session for the day. (Therapy is the most important part of our guest’s days.)
  • Rest and recuperate in a quiet atmosphere at Parkside.
  • Enjoy the remainder of your day with a dip in the therapeutic spa bathtub or enjoy a good book or company with friends and family in our inviting common areas.

Guests Enjoy

Even though our short-term rehabilitation guests are typically only in our care 30 days or less, we still strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Guests enjoy:

  • Private rooms
  • A flat screen television with free cable
  • Free phone and Internet access
  • Comfortable bedding
  • Private bathrooms
  • Hydro-therapy tub
  • Personal items (toothbrush, toothpaste, lotion, soap, brush/comb)
  • Ample living space, closet/dresser space and furniture
  • Free laundry service

Personal Items

We encourage our guests to bring your own personal items to make your stay even more like home:

  • Labeled, comfortable clothing (comfortable, slippers, shoes, robe)
  • Special personal toiletries
  • Ancillary devices (glasses, dentures, hearing aids)
  • Preferential snacks
  • Personal entertainment (iPods, laptops, books, puzzles, music)

Like a Fine Hotel

We make every effort to give you the same experiences you might enjoy at a high-end hotel. For example, you decide:

  • What time you want to start and end your day
  • What time you would like to eat your meals
  • What types of foods you will order each day
  • Where you prefer to have your meals: in your room or in our dining area
  • Where to relax
  • How you want to spend your free time: reading books from our library, participating in group activities, enjoying fresh air outdoors
